What a great quote! For as long as I can remember, whenever I would hear an argument or a discussion about a chain of events, I would not uncommonly hear something that didn't make sense., and that's literally what I would say "That doesn't make sense!" To my never ending surprise, I was often the only one among the group who perceived the "contradiction" within the story/narrative/explanation. Almost everyone else would blithely go along, believing what they just heard despite the internal contradiction that proved the story could not be fully accurate. Not only was I rarely if ever credited with such a discovery, but was often ridiculed/punished/attacked for contradicting the group.
