Masks are a visual sign of compliance. That is their true strength, the ability of random strangers to assess you visually.

I reckon you were too polite when asked "Where is your mask"?

I had 2 responses

1 - hard, firm, but polite "NO". That's it, no other words needed. Used if the asker was uncertain or polite about asking. They usually gave up and moved on.

2 - firm and menacing "Fuck Off". That was for mask nazi's exercising their power of new found intimidation. They usually tried something else to back their power, upon which a 2nd "Fuck Off" generally popped their self importance bubble.

But at all times, when moving maskless, do it confidently, and with purpose. If you get the stink eye, stare them down with your best "you want to challenge me?" look.

I gave up trying to explain how useless the mask was after I realised and important rule of thumb.

The level of interaction with MSM and Social Media was/is proportional to their belief in the mask. Try that assessment on the people you know who went maskless, you will be surprised at the correlation.

Yes, I agree. I would be much less polite now and pretty swift with the "fuck off" but this was before I realized that there are many more like me opposing this.

"We can’t have every individual make up their own mind about following the law. That’s not how the law works."

Here in the US, at its founding, that was exactly how the law worked. Every adult American was expected to understand that freedom was man's birthright and to understand how proposed laws either respected or violated his rights. There was never an expectation that people would docilely sit around until a court told them whether they were free or not. The premise was that they already were, by their very nature as human beings. The people were expected to know that.

The Founders were very clear about it in their writings: "If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." "There is nothing that will destroy liberty more than a prevailing opinion that it is better tamely to submit than nobly assert and vindicate our privileges." "An act of usurpation is not obligatory; it is not law, and any man may be justified in his resistance." "The violation of a law does not constitute a crime where the law is bad." "That which is not just, is not law; and that which is not law, ought not to be obeyed." "The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress." And: "Men cannot be enslaved politically until they have been disarmed ideologically. When they are so disarmed, it is the victims who take the lead in the process of their own destruction."

That 90% who took off the slave rags at the first opportunity: They're both the victims and their own destroyers. No one rules if no one obeys. Your presumptive rulers in Australia understand that. They are cashing in on your ideological disarmament. The aphorism among American gun owners is that guns don't kill people. People kill people. What Americans have forgotten is that paper doesn't guarantee their rights. People guarantee their rights and they do it through defiance and non-compliance. It's awkward? It's embarrassing? It's painful? Yes. But the alternative is worse, because compliance just makes the boot on your neck stomp harder. The time to say "no" is now, before saying "no" requires risking more than just awkwardness: before it requires risking your life.

I was forced to wear a face diaper at work due to the boss's disinterest in actual science and following of The$cience.

my form of protest was visual ridicule. I bought a full face p100 (with the most free-flowing filter elements available.)

it looked like a low end gas mask. of course the only thing that'd actually stop anything the size of a virus would be a canned air hazmat grade mask and I knew it, but I wasn't wearing it for protection.

visually it made the point that everyone else's paper or cloth face diapers were underkill and they seemed to find that embarrassing. if anyone mentioned it (and few did) I'd refer them to pore size in their diaper and viron size, both in microns, and point out that even my fancy looking p100 couldn't filter out anything smaller than smoke particles (which are WAY bigger than viron measurements.)

my favorite was wearing it into hospital when picking up my older youngling who'd get hauled there for making mental "health" hotline calls. not one reasonably effective mask in sight anywhere there, and boy did the staff and many other pedestrians give mine the stink eye. they wouldn't let me in the door with my nose and mouth exposed, so my options were limited.

I'm pretty sure that setting a face covering less worthy of ridicule than theirs made a lot of folks wearing their edge-leaking huge pore fabric uncomfortable, based on heir expressions.

mine made fun of both the fear factor and effectiveness level. take it more seriously if you're going to, goobers!

my other favorite was banks. require me to cover my face, but "health" code allows bandanas? the stage coach pirate show is ON, folks! it was actually fun going into banks looking like I was ready to commit mayhem.

I went to a doctor's office for an osteopathic manipulation during the "Times," and of course, at all medical surgeries, mandates were in effect.

What do I see? (this was an alternative practice) - while my osteopath had a custom made clear plastic mask (I could see him speak, which helped) - the other doctor in the surgery had her little surgical mask on, with a hole cut out for her nose & mouth. Yeah, they didn't believe in them, either.

Excellent article! Being someone who has always questioned everything & made up my own mind, I find it really difficult to understand how most people are so easily manipulated. They are so fearful! Beyond my comprehension. And, sadly, I think my sister is a snitch. More & worse is coming - only time I have been glad I'm old - I won't be around to see the end results.

Agreeeeeeed! You are not the only one who sees the parallels but we are a small minority. I do not know personally anyone who thinks this way. I only have encountered true thinkers on Substack. I am very careful now with conversations with all friends and family members. The dangerous self-righteous ones are quite numerous and revealed their true colors on this go round. They are salivating at the chance to do it again. We were lucky this time that the vax was so ineffective and so unsafe that a lot of the lazy go along types saw the contradictions and began to balk, and thinkers, like you and CJ, got enraged and started writing eloquently about it. So the movement lost some steam, but I would say a significant percentage of the population, maybe 50% are still totally on board and still believe all the propaganda. They are gearing up for the next run.

I agree. There is something big and destructive in the air that hypnotizes people. Desmet calling out the mass formation psychosis and Malone taking it to Rogan was instrumental to stop it going further. Desmets emphasis on honest and genuine speech is also important. We need to sharpen our senses and understand the hearts of people around us and talk to those that are receptive and watch the others carefully and wait for an opening before we speak to them. Even hypnotized people need breaks from it and a true core resides in everyone. I think it is important not to be afraid of the Zombies. They are actually very predictable when we watch them in neutral awareness and can be gently steered into the right direction with some love and understanding. They are much more scared than we are that's why they follow the masses blindly thinking there is safety in conforming. And sticking together as a herd is safer in nature. But if the whole herd is led to the slaughter, as in domesticated sheep, we have to overcome that instinct and stray from the herd. Once again, natural good things like herd instincts get weaponized.

Fortunately, in Poland we do not have much devotion to the authorities' orders, but many people were intimidated. It looked similar to other countries, but the percentages were slightly different, fewer people were masked.

Marian Turski is from Poland, French is his next language.

NO you are not the only one to see this. My Jewish friends in the USA got really hot with me when I brought it up (but then, they took the thamn dings and so - didn't know what it was like on the other side of the fence).
