I am trying a new format and hope to see how it resonates with your readers and, hopefully, participants in discussing spiritual, philosophical, social, scientific, and political issues from my seemingly different, odd, and weird perspectives.
I still find it hard to shut up. Intellectual discussions are not that important for spirituality and happiness and probably hinder them. There are two things that keep me writing.
The first one is an attempt to become more and more distinct and boil down knowledge about these things to the very essence, ultimately ending in silence. In other words, get rid of knowledge because intellectually, I know that my apparent knowledge is an illusion—a fool’s play. Hence, Sokrates famously said: I know that I know that I don’t know.
Whatever I say, the opposite is true in a relative knowledge world. And yet, I am compelled to write so much about free will. But I trust this and submit to it. Everything else would be wasting energy. At this very limited point in my wisdom, the wisest course of action is to follow my desires and energies and let them play out in awareness, not to achieve anything. What I utter is totally meaningless in the bigger frame. It is just karma unravelling; the faster it unravels, the better.
The other reason is being vulnerable to demands by the collective unconscious to process trauma. It is based on compassion. Sharing thoughts with like-minded people can provide a huge sense of connection and relief. After all, we are not alone. I struggled for a few years with the question: “Am I mad, or is society mad.”
I am 100% convinced now that it is society and that there are currently very mad societal forces at play. By mad, I mean unnatural, unkind, unintelligent, uncaring, selfish, greedy, power-hungry, arrogant, etc., and we are exposed to propaganda and cognitive warfare like never before.
I feel pretty stable and happy now after struggling for four years. But it feels unkind to just bugger off and not support people that are still struggling to stabilize their sanity and learning how to defend against this avalanche of propaganda.
My problem, however, is that I can’t shut up and write too much, which is too time-consuming. I noticed that I can restrain myself when commenting on other articles. Therefore, I am trying this new format: reproducing a selection of comments in a substack. Let me know if that is useful or not.
I used a lot of time in the past to polish my articles. I won’t do that anymore, sorry. The grammatical quality will be lower. Apologies.
Universal Intelligence
This is an article regarding “ground-breaking” new research by a scientist who discovered that cells work together in intelligent groups. To which I commented:

While this fascinating research might look astounding to laypeople and even specialist scientists who mostly have no clue or personal experience in holistic intelligence, this is old news for people who are in holistic tune with the universe, either through advanced spiritual practice or the intentional wise use of psychedelics, or both.
Groups of cells working together in an intelligent way? Why is that a surprise? Every serious psychonaut experienced this in action from the inside. Was even part of it.
Sceptics might say, that this is just imagination, not real knowledge. I agree, because everything is just imagination, everything is just mental until we go beyond the mind. Therfore, the psychonaut and scientist live in the same world, in an illusionary mental world.
Only the mystic lives in the real world beyond our mental projections. But despite being mental, they are still governend by the mental laws of cause and effect and it is the only world we know, and therfore real to us.
Of course, cells work together intelligently . These idiotic arrogant specialist scinetists who think their little brain and education is the pinacle of intelligence in the universe, think it is a big deal and immedialty want to meddle, manipulate and control it, thinking they can improve and direct this intelligence.
It is like an ant trying to influence and improve on the interplay of galaxies. Little do they know that groups of cells working together intelligently is just a tiny part of the whole. EVERYTHING in the universe works together with this love-saturated incredible intelligence that humbles every human brain in immediate total submission and bliss when experiencend.
Only scientist that know this, should be allowed to practise. Everyon else will fuck it up, no matter how good the intentions are.
Here is a vague analogy. Imagine a highly sophisticated computer code regulating subway traffic in a big city. Then you let a computer kid play around with it, alter little parts of the code, experiment with it and see what happens. What can go wrong? Universal intelligence is a trillion time more complex - how else could the whole universe work together so magnificantly and stay in balance? Except for humans, of course.
It is very interesting that the researchers raised the question of "when the groups of cells intelligently working together" start the switch to become an individual entity. How stupid are you? Never, of course. This is an entirely false and exclusively human misconception. In reality, there are no individual entities. EVERYTHING is a network, part of an intelligece network affecting and influencing each other, from cells to galaxies.
It should be compulsory for everyone to do intentional, guided pyschedelic sessions to see it with their own eyes. Nothing would change humanity to the better than understanding this.
We once did. It was called living in paradise. Then something terrible happened. We got seperated from it and started to believe we are individual entities. And all suffering began.
The good news is, that this sense of seperation is not a hardwired real thing. It is an illusion in our minds and unreal. It can be undone and has been undone by countless mystics. This is the only goal worth pursuing. Everything else is moving deckchairs on the Titanic.
And this is a reply to it:

Isn’t the need to to understand more about this all knowing force that runs through and binds everything simply a consequence of itself? Surely, people like Levin need to develop the scientific language to advance the orthodox position of science and should be encouraged to do so. Is this not simply another example of your theory that not everyone can be kings and how we need carpenters and farmers and so it should be?
I’m fascinated by these questions about intelligence; what really is it? Where does it truly resides, in or around our physical matter? If not creationism then why is everything in nature so perfectly designed for it’s purpose and how was it’s need recognised? I don’t have answers to any of my questions in the way you have answers to to your questions or Levin to his, but I have an incredible sense of calm knowing that nature is infinitely greater and more intelligent than everything it creates.
Yes, of course, the desire to be curious, to observe, to wonder, and to learn is natural and is an expression of this divine universal intelligence. There is nothing wrong in developing scientific language and letting people know about it. I have no issues with that.
Levin explains that we really need to understand how cell groups know what to construct and when to stop. Regenerative medicine specialists would like to know how to get cells to rebuild missing structures. And engineers would like to figure out what else could they could get the same cells to create. He pictures an Anatomical Compiler that could someday decode any body blueprint into the bioelectrical signals organising cells to sculpt it. […]
This concept has great potential use […]
Universal intelligence is not meant to be used for a tiny subgroup (humans) of existence. I know this sounds very weird and strange in our capitalistic, exploitive, and materialistic worldview. Everything is there to be exploited and pilgrimaged by humans. Not that existence cares about this tiniest of specks called humanity. It only backfires on us if we have that selfish, exploitative motive.
This doesn’t mean we can’t be in tune with it and align ourselves with these energies and this intelligence. That’s what true healers do. The scientific method will always be inferior to true spiritual wisdom.
Therefore, instead of promoting science, we should encourage people to search for their souls and study themselves; if they know themselves, they know God and the universe. If people know God and the universe, material and physical issues, including those bodies we call ours, become an insignificant little sideshow that is dealt with intelligently and automatically.
In other words, we don’t need to solve physical problems. There won’t be any problems to solve if we know ourselves, God, and the universe.
These scientists are far from that.
They want to boss and meddle with these intelligent processes, which, in my opinion, is very dangerous. While these scientists are highly intelligent in a purely cognitive way (no heart intelligence), and some of them are well-meaning and have good intentions, I spontaneously can see three major problems here (there are many more than three, of course), that can mess things up for all of us and create a lot of suffering in the world:
They don’t know what they don’t know. In other words, they constantly overestimate their knowledge. The mRNA technology is a very current example of that. I am sure there are similar, well-intentioned scientists behind this technology. It has great potential, but it is too complex, and in the absence of any powerful ethical oversight of scientists these days (think the mad free-wheeling gain-of-function research), new scientific discoveries are turned into products way too quickly with hundreds of unforeseen harmful consequences. They are unleashed onto the population way too early.
Until enlightenment, we are all selfish and don’t really know ourselves very well. That’s why power corrupts. Scientific knowledge is power, and it corrupts like any other power. The initial good intentions can quickly become an uncontrollable desire for fame and wealth. Even being a genuine goodie-goodie is an ego trip, ignoring our inherent ignorance and stupidity compared to this colossal love-saturated universal intelligence.
Even if the pioneering scientist is “perfect” and “ethical”, the genie can never be kept in the box. I am sure that some early researchers of nuclear technology had only cheap energy in mind. And now we have a world full of nuclear weapons able to destroy the whole planet many times. A ticking time bomb that will never ever go away and causing constant tension and stress to the population of this planet - conscious or unconscious.
As long as actions and decisions are based on greed and power, any new scientific discovery will used and abused and harm us. Yes, there also seem to be benefits (think cars, aeroplanes, cell phones, the Internet, etc.), but they also become insignificant side-shows for the spiritually awakened. And they hinder spiritual development through distraction. That’s why I try so hard to stop writing, but it is not up to me. there is no free will.
Regarding the second paragraph - I love your curiosity, Matt. Yes, it is a miracle. The easiest way to find out about all of this is within ourselves. Nothing else needs to be known if we know who we really are. And following and being guided by your “incredible sense of calm knowing” is what we all need to do, rather than being brainwashed by selfish interests.
I would kindly recommend one of the books of the Romanian Dr Constantin Dulcan : The intelligence of matter. I read it back in 1981, or 1983. It changed completely my views about life, relationships, ethics, health and how much harm we bring to ourselves when we disconnect from each other and universe.
I try and hold the paradox of being curious and wanting to discover and know how the world works, while simultaneously surrendering to the flow of an unknowable mystery so vast that we cannot possibly fathom it. We can participate in the creation of our reality in some kind of symbiotic relationship? But it is naive to believe we control life.
